This page explains what trendoo collects when you use the website (trendoo.app) and the app (app.trendoo.app), why, who helps us run it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions and requests go to hello@trendoo.app.
Who is responsible
trendoo decides how your personal data is used and is responsible for it. You can reach us at hello@trendoo.app about anything on this page.
What we collect
Your account
- Your email address, and a name if you give one.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash, or, if you sign in with Google, the identifier and email address Google gives us. We ask Google for your email address and nothing else.
- Whether you have confirmed your email address, and your sign-in sessions and one-time links, stored as hashes.
Billing
- Payments run through our payment provider. It collects your card details, billing name, address and VAT number; we never see or store your card number.
- We keep the payment provider's reference for you, your plan, its status and dates, your invoices and refunds, and your credit balance with each credit given or spent.
What you put into trendoo
- The social accounts you set up: handle, name, description, interests, posting times, colour and the phone each posts from.
- Your content profiles, products, hooks and text styles.
- Pictures you upload, with the source, licence and rights notes you record for them.
- The posts trendoo makes for you, their captions and hashtags, the links to them once posted, and the views, likes, comments and other numbers you enter or import.
- The records of each run: what was asked and what came out.
Posts you ask trendoo to research
When you paste a link to a public post, trendoo fetches it from the platform it was posted on: the link, the creator's handle, its public counts and date, its spoken words and on-screen text, and its pictures or video. We keep these for your research only. They are never put into the posts trendoo makes for you. They belong to the people who posted them; if you are one of them and want something removed, write to us.
Technical data
- Our servers log each request to the app (the address it came from, the page and the result) to keep the service secure and to find faults. Addresses are also used, in memory only, to slow down repeated sign-in attempts.
- The website trendoo.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. Its fonts and pictures are served from our own host.
The waitlist
If you joined the waitlist before trendoo opened, we kept your email address and the date you joined, to tell you when it opened. Ask us and we remove it.
Cookies
The app uses three cookies, all needed for it to work. None tracks you or is used for advertising, so there is nothing to consent to.

Why we use it
- To run the service you signed up for: your account, your content, research, generating posts, billing and the emails about your account. This is necessary for our contract with you.
- To keep records the law requires: invoices, payments and tax.
- To keep trendoo secure and working: logs, limiting sign-in attempts, finding faults. This is our legitimate interest.
- To research public posts you point us to, which is your legitimate interest and ours.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or send you marketing email. The emails we send are about your account, such as confirming your address or resetting your password.
Who helps us run trendoo
Some of the work is done by service providers. Each does only its part, on our instructions, and receives only what that part needs:
- Hosting and storage: our servers, database and files, in the United States.
- Payments: takes payments, works out VAT and issues invoices. Your card and billing details go straight to the payment provider; we never see your card number.
- Email delivery: sends the emails about your account.
- Sign in with Google, if you choose it.
- AI providers: read posts, pictures and videos, and write, draw and make video for you. They receive the text, pictures or video frames a task needs; the video makers keep what they make for a few days.
- Picture search: finds pictures to match a look, from the search words alone.
- Website hosting: serves trendoo.app, and kept the waitlist.
Write to us and we will tell you which providers we use. Several of them are in the United States, and our servers are too. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer for it, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your account and what you put into trendoo, for as long as you have an account. Anything you delete in the app (a picture, a post, a profile, an account you set up) is removed from your account when you delete it.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and its content within 30 days. Copies in our weekly server backups are gone within a further four weeks.
- Invoices, payments and the credit records tied to them, for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted.
- Expired sign-in sessions and one-time links are cleared out periodically.
- Request logs, only as long as we need them to keep the service secure and fix faults.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give it to you in a portable form, or stop or limit using it. Write to hello@trendoo.app from the address on your account, and we will answer within one month. To delete your account, write to us: there is no delete button in the app yet.
You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and sessions and links as hashes too. Everything travels over encrypted connections. Your files are kept in private storage and shown through links that expire within minutes. Other people using trendoo cannot see your content. A post is visible outside your account only through a share link you create; share links expire, and you can revoke them.
Children
trendoo is for adults running accounts and businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this page
When this page changes, the date at the top changes. If a change affects how we use your data in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect.
